BBC is facing Net risk
THE BBC is facing “real jeopardy” because of the internet, its top boss has warned.
Director-General Tim Davie reckons the corporation needs to take big risks to avoid disappearing.
He said: “The problem with many organisations is that they haven’t felt real jeopardy, and the internet brings real jeopardy.”
The Beeb is facing competition from streaming services including Netflix.
But Davie is confident it can still compete.
He said: “If you get rock stars in play like Russell T Davies – often rock stars want to come home or want to contribute back.”
