MILLIONS are suffering a cost-of-vision crisis as they cannot afford new glasses.

A survey by the Association of Optometrists found seven in 10 had seen a patient in the past three months who needed a new prescription.

But two-thirds of glasses or contact-lense wearers said they were “putting off” buying new ones due to the cost-of-living crisis.
