Phone’s year in the sea

-

A WOMAN was reunited with her iPhone over a year after losing it in the sea.

Clare Atfield, 39, was paddle boarding on August 4 last year when her mobile fell in the water and she assumed that it was gone forever.

But after 460 days it washed up on shore in Havant, Hants, in perfect working condition.

She was contacted by a dog walker who found her bank card inside the case.

Clare said: “I never thought I’d see it again, or that it would be working.

“It was quite far out to sea, but was in one of those phone protection cases which came with my paddle board. It must have sunk and just stayed there.”
