A DOUBLE killer has been awarded the Kremlin’s medal for courage after leaving jail to fight in Ukraine.

Konstantin Kiselev, 30, is further proof Mad Vlad is using enlisted murderers and other criminals as cannon fodder on the frontline.

Kiselev beat one woman with a wooden stick, then stabbed her head, chest, and other body parts with a knife no less than 29 times.

He then strangled a second woman who witnessed the killing.

In 2017 Kiselev was given a nine-and-a-half-year jail sentence for one count of murder and one of manslaughter.

But he has now been made a unit commander after surviving a shelling attack.

It is understood the infamous Wagner mercenary group pulled him out of Mari El penal colony No. 6. Putin has been enlisting prison inmates with the promise of freedom if they survive in battle for six months.

Kiselev had the Russian Order of Courage pinned on his chest by Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of the Wagner Group. Russian reports have claimed: “Kiselev’s wife has told his cellmates that her husband received an order [of courage] and the position of group commander because he was the only one from the unit who survived a shelling.

“According to the woman, the order was personally presented by Yevgeny Prigozhin.”
