FAWLTY BOSS: MY RIFF RAFF GUESTS
Park visitors ‘dirty and lazy’
THE boss of a plush holiday park has been dubbed Basil Fawlty for calling guests “Addams families”.
Aaron Scantlebury, 56, ranted about caravans being sub-let to guests who “speak in (un)intelligible tongues and very loudly”.
He is now facing a backlash after warning residents of “nanas in paper-thin leggings”.
The general manager wrote: “We are seeing increasing numbers of sublet guests who have never seen hills, beaches, a job, or a bath for that matter.
“Reporting to the police a domestic dispute etc almost always can be predicted before I get the call from security. In almost every case, the ‘Adams family’ [sic] turns up, it is for the most part the same sub-letters renting out to the same types.”
Mr Scantlebury, of Sunnyvale Caravan Park, Kinmel Bay, North Wales, said he made the comments on a private page for caravan owners, claiming they were “tongue in cheek”.
One holidaymaker said: “He is a modern day Basil Fawlty.” Others agreed with him.
