ROMESH Ranganathan admits he loves it when things get nasty on The Weakest Link.
Some celebrity contestants are so competitive, they even turn on their friends.
Romesh said: “There are some friendships that have been put in jeopardy as a result of this show.
“Some people might walk out of there not being friends again and I’m left thinking, ‘I wonder if they’re still going to chat after this...’
“But that’s what I got into this game for, really. I just want to bring all these nice friendships to an end. If I can do that, then I’ve done my job.
“I’m an agent of chaos, basically.” Romesh has filmed the new series and reckons it’s the most ruthless yet – even more than with ex-host Anne Robinson. He added: “The contestants are working as a team but then turning on each other, so there are a lot of conflicting objectives. You have to back-stab, then you have to work together and then back-stab again.”
The show is back on BBC One from December 17.
