CAR PRICES SPIRALLING
It surprises me that the media isn’t talking much about car financing.
What Car? has carried out some research and found that new-car PCP costs have risen by as much as 40% since 2019. On average,
PCP has risen 22.4% across the sample models What Car? focused on. The average PCP on a Mini hatchback in 2019 was £276 but today that figure is £344.
New car prices have also risen with the same Mini costing £22,066 in 2019 and £28,082 today. A petrol Volvo XC40 that would have cost £356 per month three years ago will now cost £508.
