FLICK’S MEN SAY IT ALL

-

TRUST the Germans to get there first.

But congratulations to them for taking a visible stand against FIFA in the ongoing row over the ban on captains wearing the One Love armbands.

Hansi Flick’s men might have made idiots of themselves in defeat to Japan.

But before kick-off it was quite the opposite, when the players covered their mouths during the team photograph to convey the message that FIFA is silencing teams.

And just for good measure,

German interior minister Nancy Faeser proudly wore the One Love armband while sat in the posh seats next to FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

England will get their own chance to make a significant stand when they face the USA in Doha tonight.

But will the FA have the guts to stand up to Infantino?

Will the FA find their voice, that same voice FIFA have taken away?

Perhaps Rishi Sunak could parachute in and emulate what Faeser did? Over to you, the FA.
