Cancer ‘killed’ Queen

-

THE Queen fought “painful” cancer in the final year of her life, a royal biographer has claimed.

Gyles Brandreth, a confidant of Prince Philip, has written a new biography called Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait.

In it he writes: “I had heard that the Queen had a form of myeloma — bone marrow cancer — which would explain her tiredness and weight loss and those ‘mobility issues’ we were often told about during the last year or so of her life.”

Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comment but has not responded.
