STREET BODY ‘HAZARDOUS’
A BODY dumped on a street was covered in “potentially hazardous” material, murder squad detectives have revealed.
The discovery was made in a residential area around 7pm on Thursday.
The identity and sex of the dead person, and the substance, has yet to be confirmed.
The body was found in Shevington, near Wigan, Gtr Manchester.
Det Supt Alan Clitherow, of Greater Manchester Police, said: “We don’t know what the substance is. We know it’s low risk.
“Anyone directly in contact with the body should seek medical advice if they feel unwell but there’s no wider risk to anyone else.”
