SEAN Connery spoiled a packed celebrity sauna by constantly heaping water on the coals – until showbiz pals could “hardly breathe”.
The 007 legend left fellow golfers, including Bruce Forsyth, gasping when he kept boosting the heat at the posh Gleneagles Hotel.
They were all hungover and his stunt has been revealed in a new book based on BBC golf commentator
Peter Alliss’ memoirs. He wrote: “Sitting alongside the sauna stones and holding the ladle was Sean Connery, 007. Connery insisted on regularly adding more water to the coals.
“Every time he did, there followed a round of moaning and groaning, and we took it in turns to ask the eternal question, ‘Why do we do it?’”
