Drunk girl gets in mess

-

I’M sick of dragging my girlfriend off other men. She’s drinking too much and embarrassing me.

We have an arrangement whereby I see my mates every Friday night and she sees her gal pals.

I enjoy a couple of pints and a few games of snooker. But she “pre-drinks” at her cousin’s and is already half-cut when they get to their favourite watering hole.

Too often I’m rung by one of her mates at around 10pm. I hear she’s vomiting in the gutter or is under a stranger. I jump in a taxi and find her totally incapacitated.

JANE SAYS: Is your girlfriend sorry next morning? Does she accept she’s behaving appallingly?

She needs to assure you she’s willing to change. At the moment you’re racing across town only to find her in a disgusting and/or vulnerable state. This isn’t fair on you.

She can’t assume you’ll always rescue her. What if she picks the wrong stranger to snog? You’re entitled to a night out with mates. Why does she have to make it all about her?

Talk to her about where you go from here. My feeling is she is too immature and selfish for you.
