FESTIVE CHEERS WITH BERNARD
THE life of Bernard Cribbins will be celebrated by the BBC over Christmas.
The veteran actor, who starred in the Carry On films, Doctor Who and the The Railway Children, died in July aged 93.
Radio 4 Extra will have a series of programmes and interviews involving Cribbins on December 29.
Other festive specials on BBC Radio and BBC Sounds include Sir Cliff Richard speaking to Radio 2’s Sara Cox at Abbey Road Studios in London.
And castaways on Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs feature one-time host Kirsty Young, film director Steven Spielberg and actor Cate Blanchett, all of whom chat to Lauren Laverne.
