His lies are just bonkers

MY boyfriend is a lovely bloke but he has a peculiar relationship with the truth.

Often he’s hours late meeting me – and sometimes he doesn’t turn up at all.

His excuses range from dead relatives to top secret projects at work.

Recently he failed to show at my parents’ anniversary party and tried to pretend it was because he’d witnessed a kidnapping and had to “help the police with their enquiries”.

Often, he goes missing for days and I can’t get him on his mobile.

When I ask him where he’s been, he changes the subject or makes out I’m the unreasonable one.

JANE SAYS: If you suspect your man is something of a fantasist, why waste any more time trying to fathom him out?

Tell him today that you’re done with hanging around.

It was unforgivable he failed to make it to your parents’ party. You don’t care if he is Superman, you’ve had enough of being disrespected.

I suspect he either has another partner or can’t be bothered to show up when he says he will. Stop wasting your time.
