Psycho heads up tests
FOOTBALL legend Stuart “Psycho” Pearce has had boffins probing his brain.
There have been growing fears over the impact heading a ball has on causing cerebral injuries.
Hardman Pearce, 60, revealed: “I’ve gone and done tests backed by the LMA (League Managers Association).
“Not so much for myself in regard to any disease that might have been within me, but more so for the next generation of footballers.
“So if I can offer myself up, which I’ve done, to do those tests it’s going to help the next generation of footballers – that’s really important for my generation to do this.
“You’re doing aptitude tests, memory tests, all of those type of things that might be early indicators for problems that you might get in the future.”
