Bale: All for won

- ■ by JAMES NURSEY

GARETH BALE has issued a rallying cry after revealing defeat by Iran left Wales “heartbroken”.

The 33-year-old will be handed a last hurrah in a Wales shirt tonight together with fellow veterans Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen knowing they must beat England to reach the last 16.

Skipper Bale believes it is vital Rob Page’s squad do not become “divided” by their failings. He said: “We

will give everything on the pitch against England. We will fight again.

“The main thing for us all is that we have stuck together as a group. We don’t get divided by a bad team performance or result.

“You saw our reaction when we conceded against Iran, how devastated we were, lying on the floor – heartbroken. But no one can ever question our commitment.”

Bale know his displays in Qatar have been criticised by some.

“Sometimes I have a good game and sometimes I don’t,” he said.

“It’s football. It’s difficult to always play well. The one thing I always do is give 100 per cent.”
