Apocalypse alert another false alarm

- The Nige Pompey

❑ The apocalypse alarm was a great success. Many people had no idea about it, a lot had turned it off, and some didn’t get it at all, so the question is how much did this nonsense cost. How much tax payers money was wasted on another government attempt to unnerve the population. What is their obsession with instilling fear into those people who they are meant to serve? They need to get out of people’s lives, stop interfering with the lives of people who really only want these etonian halfwits to keep the country running, keep the buses and trains going and keep the infrastructure going, water and power, and try and keep the costs down, and stop trying to frighten the pants off people ,lock em down and shut em up. John challenger

❑ What a load b ...... ks was the alert. a waste of tax payer’s money yet again. tories out now. tjw rimpton

❑ Am I the only one that thinks the emergency phone siren is being tested to get us all ready for when Putin presses the big red button? Grant Hately ❑ The Alarm set for 3 pm Sunday really was for all the country to be proud of it being St George’s Day ok and for us to all celebrate the fact first and formally! Yaaay! Cockney Baz Skegness

❑ I didnt get my alert on sunday so the Govt will fail its duty of care to look after me in a crisis. I will need counselling, but where do I claim compensation for this trauma? Andyyork

❑ So Labour’s Diane Abbott has been suspended for stating Jews haven’t ever been Discriminated against. Is this woman completely out of touch with reality and history or is she just a very Stupid Ignorant woman. The Jewish people were murdered, discriminated against in their millions Ms Abbott by the Nazis and their collaborators. Perhaps before you come out with anything more insulting you should take a look at History and engage your brain before you open your mouth. It’s a good job nobody said black people had never been discriminated against as the backlash would be immense and rightly so. How on earth did you ever get to be a MP God only knows, not with my vote you wouldn’t. TOD

❑ And to think that Diane Abbott almost became Home Secretary. Gees!! POPPY M.

❑ Apparently Diane Abbott has been suspended until the 33rd of May. Lol. LEO F

❑ I’ve just stopped laughing. general sycophant and overall ‘yes’ man, oliver dowden, deputy prime minister. dave from chorley

❑ Boris Johnson left No10 speaking of ‘giving up the best job in the world ‘ and then saying ‘but thems the breaks.’ Awaiting the outcome of the partygate inquiry true to his word he is on his fourth ‘break’ in 10 months/Easter in the Dominican Republic. Everyone has a break but Uxbridge constituents might take heart that Feb BJ allegedly looked to be moving to nearby Henley maybe as a contingency plan .Their MP is unenamoured as BJ was their MP before becoming Mayor of London. Is their no ‘integrity’? Brian Linford Pontefract

❑ suggestion to messers sunak/berkley/cabinet ! – to show understanding nd compassion to the problems that people like NHS etc :- freeze ur own annual two n arf k payrise plus expenses nd perks for a period of say five yrs! I read last wk of one mp claiming fifteen hundred a wk just in rent! Never mind the rest!?? We! The people have expenses too but have to juggle!!! TRY IT no **** s! robtin

❑ Went to an establishment last week, found they didn’t accept cash so walked out. We must boycott these places who try to bully us into having no choice. A. Luddite

❑ My middle finger is my best friend. It always sticks up for me if needed.
