GILES IN DEJA VIEW FOR MAY
Ryan reckons Tigers could face Baggies in play-offs

RYAN GILES reckons Hull could end up facing West Brom again in the Championship play-offs.
The promotion rivals slugged it out as Baggies defender Darnell Furlong’s first-half header cancelled out Liverpool loanee Fabio Carvalho’s 20-yard screamer.
Both teams were denied a winner by the woodwork in the second half, but the result left the ambitious Tigers a point and a place below fifth-placed Albion.
Giles was one of seven players to bolster Liam Rosenior’s promotion-chasing side last month, arriving on loan from Luton until the end of the season.
And the former Wolves leftback said: “It was a cagey game.
“It felt like a play-off game, with two teams at the top end of the division trying to grind out a win.
“We’re disappointed not to win the game but we’ve tried to be as positive as we can and if we can’t win, we don’t lose.
“We have to take points from every single game and that’s the attitude we have to have in every match.
“Could we face West Brom in the play-offs? They’ve got every chance but there are a handful of teams who also have a chance.
“There are still 12 games to go and in the Championship things can change very quickly.
“We just have to control what we can control by going out there to deliver a performance.”
Hull had won three successive away games inside eight days – at Rotherham, Huddersfield and Southampton – before facing Albion. Having taken 10 points from their last four matches, Giles added: “It shows the mentality, but that’s the Championship.
“We lost at home to Swansea recently and that was a disappointing performance, there’s no hiding that.
“But in the Championship you have a good chance to turn it around very quickly.
“The response we’ve had has been excellent and we’ve picked up three great away wins. “We want to win every single game but there’s going to be days when it’s not your day. It happens to every single team.
“We just have to have that elite mentality of trying to come away with points.
“That’s the most important thing in this play-off race because there are other teams who want to get in our way and we have to try and prevent that.” Albion scorer Furlong (left) said: “We’re a bit annoyed that we didn’t get all three points, but a draw is probably a fair result.”
