Pathetic Budget tackles none of our real issues

-

❑ What a pathetic budget no suprise there then the grinning assassin tackled none of the real issues that effect working people – doctors waiting list, NHS resources, profiteering energy prices arguably all brought about by this feckless government. There is only so much you can blame on the virus and Ukraine and where are the architects of this madness lording it off in their overpaid job thinking they are the messiah. I despair at the levels of inequality in our society. Pomfretian

❑ To chancer Jeremy Hunt 2p off tax, wow, someone on or below £1,000 a month, will save between £4 & £6, a mth. But someone on £1million a a month will rake in £1,600, a week, £6,400-00 a month. Don’t foget to pick up your p45, on the way out, p ***ock. Laurence

❑ Another smoke & mirror budget, tax is still rising from 70 rises implimented by tories, widening the gap between rich & poor.

2p off NI means another cut in NHS.

I tried to get an appointment 6 wks, ago still have not seen Dr. Dentists is now private. Firebird

❑ Jeremy Hunt’s Spring Budget: 2p cut in National Insurance, Alcohol Duty frozen until February 2025 and the 5p cut to Fuel Duty to remain for a further 12 months. Anyone would think that there was a General Election due within the next year! Dave Pinfold, Stockport

❑ NEW NON DOMS (living here not paying tax) becoming UK residents don’t pay tax on foreign income and gains during their first 4 yrs providing it’s not deposited in UK banks ‘onshoring’ their foreign income. MEANWHILE the NHS will see staggering waiting lists of 7.6million grow if a 2 billion NHS shortfall is not plugged with ‘no reserves for new beds and innovations.’ The Chancellor Jeremy Hunt could advance 2 billion to longstanding waiting list patients funded fairly now by overdue anticipated Non Dom taxes. Brian Linford Pontefract

❑ As jeremy Hunt giving budget the labour and other party MP’s seemed like a bunch from the planet of the Apes the noise the lot of them made. Stockton jeff

❑ So mr -unt has just realised if you work you pay two taxes. National Insurance and income tax. Where has this thicko been?? It’s been like that forever. And these clowns are running the country. Oh I despair!! Cumbrian Kev

❑ stockton jeff: councils are going bust because central govt have slashed billions from their budget and having to settle equal pay claims which is costing billions. wayne standring oldham

❑ Tod: totally agree with you about MPs. They are a bunch of useless cronies who only think of them selves and their rich friends. Derbyd

❑ Tod: I could not of written that better myself mate. Absolute disgrace how the government sit and feed and drink in there subsided bar while here in my area older generation are shivering and wondering where the next meal comes from. a f#%^~

❑ As an Establishment-hating libertarian [although not a liberal] and proponent of freedom of speech, I am deeply disturbed by the government’s pernicious and insidiously oppressive plan to ‘widen the legal definition of extremism,’ and dearly hope that it is opposed and thwarted. Lee J. Whitehouse, Rushall, West Midlands.

❑ will the hindu’s and sikh’s who fought in both world wars also get a monument??? john challenger

❑ The awful awful rape and murder of Sarah Everard by a serving police officer. This monster does not deserve to be on the planet. Bring back the death Penalty. Not only will it give peace of mind to the horrendous time the family are going through. It will save the tax payer near on million pounds a year and free up prisons. Ian, wideopen
