JACOB SORENSEN has no doubt Borja Sainz will put his red card mishap behind him.

The Norwich forward was set for a four-game ban after his dismissal at Middlesbrough last week – but it was overturned before the Rotherham clash.

He responded in the best way possible, with a beautiful curler in this five-goal triumph.

Sorensen was also on the scoresheet, with his first of the season, alongside a Gabriel Sara double and Josh Sargent.

The Dane made his third start of the season after looking to put his injury woes behind him.

Norwich are in the play-off spots on goal difference, with Sainz (above) likely to play a pivotal role.

While Sorensen was pleased with the reaction of his team-mate, he revealed the Spaniard was in the bad books. He said: “It’s been a weird week for Borja. People know he’s back on track if you see the goal today. He’s fine.

“Being in a professional environment is competitive and everybody wants to win. So I think it’s natural to be a bit disappointed in him when it happened.

“Looking back on it now, he’s not guilty. People gave him a hug and laughed it off.”

Rotherham suffered their second five-goal demolition in as many days, and could have conceded more.

Millers boss Leam Richardson admitted nine straight defeats was tough but still backed his squad.

He said: “I’ll protect the players as long as I’m manager. They know what I expect moving forward.

“When you’re in a moment like this, everything goes against you.

“I see things catching up to the football club at the minute. Nobody cares about the disparity of the squad. What they want to do is see a team perform.”
