TOP SECRETS FROM THE TRADING ROOM
Lee Phelps, spokesperson for William Hill, says...
THAT’S a bit more like it!
Yesterday was a much better day for us, particularly with
Bright er days ahead being turned over in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle.
Teahupoo was popular with punters in the Stayers’ Hurdle but, bar that, the results have gone our way.
The first one and a half days were undoubtedly tough for us but we’ve come back swinging and we’re back in the fight ahead of the Gold Cup.
On to the final day and we’re somewhat wary of the challenge of STORM HEART (1.30) in the JCB Triumph Hurdle.
He was very impressive on debut and lost little in defeat at the Dublin Racing Festival.
The form of
KING OF KINGSFIELD’s
third last time looks very solid, but the one for money in the County Hurdle is
L’EAU DU SUD
(2.10) for the in-form Dan Skelton stable.
Second in the Betfair Hurdle last time, he’s 9-2 from 5-1.
READIN TOMMY WRONG (2.50) has
been all the rage ahead of the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle.
However, the one we like most of all is
GIDLEIGH PARK
who could be very classy and might have too much ability for these.
The Boodles Gold Cup looks a really good renewal as
GALOPIN DES CHAMPS
goes for a double, but interestingly the one for money is JUNGLE BOOGIE (3.30, left) for Rachael Blackmore and Henry De Bromhead.
They’ve had a great week and their contender is 28-1 from 40-1 to keep it going.
The final two races, the Mares’ Chase and the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle, look at the mercy of the favourites.
DINOBLUE (4.50)
needs to prove she stays, but we think she will, while
WATERFORD WHISPERS
(5.30) looks tailor-made for the closing race. ADVERTORIAL
