Travel Man: 48 Hours In Trieste 8.30pm, Channel 4

Taking a break from his role as the nation’s consumer champion, Joe Lycett is off on his travels again, showing more celebritie­s how to get the most out of a weekend away.

He begins in Trieste in northern Italy, soaking up the history of the seaport alongside QI’s Alan Davies. Trieste is famous for the Bora, the north-easterly wind which is said to shape the city and its inhabitant­s.

Joe and Alan discover this at The Wind Museum, where curator Rino presides over a collection of wind samples.

A few miles north, they enjoy a food and fizz pairing in the village of Prosecco, before heading to historical coffee house Caffe San Marco, and popping over the border to Slovenia to visit the Lipica Stud Farm, home to 300 Lipizzaner white horses.

Great British Menu: The Finals 7pm, BBC Two

It’s the final banquet, and the chefs have to prepare food for 70 Olympians, Paralympia­ns and esteemed sporting guests at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Paris before the champion of champions is crowned. To add to the drama, there is a French farmers’ strike the day before, meaning some of the ingredient­s fail to arrive in time to be prepped.

Eighteen days ago, Bradley Riches, Colson Smith, David Potts, Ekin-Su Culculoglu, Fern Britton, Gary Goldsmith, Lauren Simon, Levi Roots, Louis Walsh, Marisha Wallace, Nikita Kuzmin, Sharon Osbourne and Zeze Millz all entered the famous house. After no end of tiffs, tantrums and Traitors-style twists, it all ends tonight – who will be crowned CBB champion?

Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy 11.05pm, Channel 4

Will Ferrell’s sexist newsreader struggles to stick to his mantra and stay classy in San Diego when his job is threatened by the ambitious Veronica Corningsto­ne (Christina Applegate), who wants to become the network’s first female anchor. Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner play Burgundy’s equally ridiculous co-workers.
