WE’LL HEARN BRAGGING RIGHTS

- ■ Interview by CHRIS McKENNA

IF I had to pick between my beloved Arsenal winning the Premier League and Champions League or beating Eddie Hearn in our upcoming team battle, then it’s a no-brainer.

I’ll be picking victory over Matchroom all day long.

And WHEN we do beat them, I’ll be buying a big megaphone and driving up and down Hearn’s hometown of Brentwood shouting about it to make sure I rub it in.

This week the weights for the Saudi Arabiabacked show were confirmed.

There will be two heavyweight showdowns, a light-heavyweight clash, a middleweight battle and a featherweight duel. Hearn should be worried. I’ve always backed my team and we’ll get to show it when we go toe-to-toe on June 1 out in Riyadh.

There will be a press conference on April 15 in London to announce the fighters for the event.

Every one of the fights would be a headline event in their own right. This is happening thanks to the backing of His Excellency Turki Alalshikh (left).

I’m really enjoying the buzz – it’s given me a fresh excitement in the sport.

We did some filming for the promotion this week and it’s going to be a treat for the fans when it all gets released in the coming weeks. But the real business is winning and that’s what we will do when we put our Queensberry stable up against the rivals from Essex.

For fans worried that all the big-time boxing is now heading to the Middle East, there are plans being put in place for a huge event at Wembley Stadium in September.

It will be extra, extra special and so keep your eyes peeled for updates.
