-

❑ All this rain we’ve been having, and they’re talking about a hosepipe ban. Maybe they should’ve invested some of the profits they’ve been making into modernising archaic infrastructure and developing more reservoirs, rather than lining the pockets of shareholders. RedLeader

❑ searching for excalibur, as a boy i loved the arthurian myth, my grandad was a blacksmith, and watching him work in the forge, seeing the glowing iron being hammered into shapes as sparks flew invoked images of mystical smiths forging mighty swords, but now i wonder if excalibur is a metaphor for seeking the strength within, pulling the sword of hope and possibility from the stone of ourselves, arthur’s knights went on quests, each quest taught them something about not only the wider world but also themselves, it was not about power and wealth it was greater than that, the sword of possibility is in everyone, they just need to quest for it deep down and search for the things hidden within.
