MAXIMUS EXPOSURE

-

LEE Phelps, spokesperson for William Hill, says...

IT WAS another very good day for punters yesterday with many of the horses they got stuck into obliging.

Favourites have won the vast majority of the races so far and that’s left us a good way behind after two days.

We’ll need a really good day today to get us back to parity, so we’ll be hoping for a few shock results

On to the big one, the Randox Grand National (4.00) and we are paying six places on it.

It’s anyone’s guess who will go off favourite with strong support for

LIMERICK LACE and

PANDA BOY (both 10-1).

There’s also been plenty of money for I AM MAXIMUS, so much so that he’s now our current favourite at 7-1, with last year’s winner CORACH RAMBLER on the drift out to 8-1.

However, it’s so tight in the market that it’s really hard to know who will end up going off the jolly.

At bigger prices, there’s been support for COKO BEACH, who is 22-1 from 25-1, while AIN’T THAT

A SHAME is our worst result in the book with the mount of David Maxwell steadily backed at big prices. He’s 40-1 from 50-1 in the past 24 hours.

In the other races,

WEST BALBOA (1.20) is a strong favourite in the opening William Hill Handicap Hurdle.

We all know how deadly the Skeltons are in these types of races and their charge is 7-2 from 5-1.

In the William Hill Handicap Chase, it’s CREBILLY (2.30) who punters have sided with. He ran a cracker at Cheltenham and customers feel he’ll go one better here at 7-2.

The other notable market mover is HIDDENVALLEY LAKE (3.05) in the Liverpool Hurdle.

Henry de Bromhead’s charge opened up at 10-1, but he’s now only 13-2 and if the weight of money continues it’s likely he’ll go off much shorter. ADVERTORIAL
