-

❑ what next you numptys at the fa – goalkeepers not using their hands. You are killing the beautiful game, another nail in the coffin. big imp

❑ Who runs English football? Is it UEFA, a minority in the premiership or the Football Association? If it is the FA then shouldn’t they be looking after all the interests of all football clubs, and not just the few premiership ones that play in Europe. KJF

❑ Some lower league football clubs say there’s “a total lack of respect for football pyramid” over changes to the FA Cup, personally I think there’s been a total lack of respect for football since the TV companies took away 3pm kick-off on a Saturday. Geoff Newcastle

❑ ho! No not that old chestnut. The government and previous governments trying to cut down on sick notes. I say like many leave the genuine sick to recouperate and concentrate on the long term work shy. I’m a postie on your typical estate, you get to know the bods who every day of the week, kicking their heels waiting for the local club to open. While workers like us are slogging away to pay for their never ending benefits! The government need a kick up the backside, as well as all the scroungers we’ve got in this country. Postie Phil Leicester

❑ I read the government want to ban smacking children. I totally agree because when I was younger, my mother and brother smacked me on the head on a daily basis for no reason. Eventually, this escalated to being hit with leather belts and sticks. 50 years later, I suffer from a permanent eye injury and heavy migraines. Gordon, Sunderland

❑ Vapes being allowed to be sold is the work of the Devil. With all the fancy flavourings it prays right into the hands of the young. It should not only be banned, it shouldn’t have been invented in the first place!! Dave Cornwall

❑ The parliament smoking bill – what a drag that was. MPs should butt out and let folk make their own decisions. Steve De La Salle, Fakenham Town Fan

❑ Double standards by tory gov.’ Baying 4 blood over angela rayner, yet strangely quiet, wen another tory mp up 2 dubious activities.ANGST

❑ Time to vote to get rid of the old duffers in house of lord now Rwanda move knocked back again. also leave EU Human rights as well its our country we are fed up with the migrant lovers, let them pay to keep them. or put them all in army bases with just rice to eat. Stockton jeff

❑ IAIN I agree with you, sadly the DS Ed will only print pro left wing texts. And I doubt this text will be published. Rocker Wilson

❑ Text Maniacs re: TOD and John Challengers long texters. I and many others probably like reading the texts from many others. Some might like to cast this as a hobby of there’s. Which I do, it’s one of the many reasons why I buy the Daily Star, to hear the views of many others and disagree or agree with some of them. I would never want this text page to go and neither the newspaper we all buy in the morning. Squirrel

❑ Totally agree with Little Chef about bringing back the old text page. There was loads of banter, and a lot less nastiness. PHANTOM TEXTER

❑ Brian Lindford you are the reason why everyone want’s the old text page back, your text’s are long and boring and pointless, just like today’s. IAIN

❑ I do wish IAIN had something constructive to add to the Text Manics page instead of his boring complaining. Perhaps a few years in the UNIVERSITY OF LIFE might help him. He’s just the sort of citizen our Goverments like, I’ve got nothing to say citizen. TOD

❑ IAIN: Brian, Tod and John get a text in most days because they send one in most days.
