TIME TO SHINE

Lock can bolt up at HQ

- ■ by JASON HEAVEY

TIME LOCK (4.10) can enjoy her finest hour in the William Hill Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket today.

The daughter of Frankel has been kept in training as a five-year-old by Juddmonte for rookie trainer Harry Charlton.

She impressed when winning a Group Three over the course and distance in September under Ryan Moore and the crack jockey takes the reins again today as she bids for Group Two glory.

Time Lock is the highest rated in a race where she takes on the boys and her 3lb sex allowance could prove crucial.

The Godolphin pair Castle Way and King Of Conquest are obvious dangers while the unexposed Naqeeb looks a threat. ENDLESS VICTORY (2.25) should continue his upward trajectory in the Listed William Hill Newmarket Stakes. He is two from two and is currently a 40-1 shot in ante-post lists for the Derby.

Godolphin are also fancied to strike with NOBLE DYNASTY (3.00) in the William Hill Epic Boost Handicap.

The six-year-old has won five of his 11 starts and could be well treated as he drops back into a handicap.

Eve Johnson Houghton has high hopes for INDIAN RUN (3.35, trb) who is tipped to take the William Hill King Charles II Stakes. He made a good impression as a juvenile especially when winning the Acomb Stakes at York.

There are three ITV races from Goodwood where the former royal runner KING’S LYNN (3.50) will relish the soft ground. Johnson Houghton can snare an across the card double with BISHOP’S CROWN (3.15) while ELLOMATE (2.40), who showed promise on his debut, can win the juvenile novice.
