A Taylor made musical
TRADEMARK FOR TOUR’S NICKNAME
ALL hit movies deserve a sequel and Taylor Swift is no different.
The star’s recent The Eras concert film smashed records and it seems now Taylor is working on a follow-up, maybe even a musical.
Taylor’s TAS Rights Management submitted paperwork to trademark the phrase Female Rage: The Musical, which is the nickname Taylor coined for a new segment in her Eras European tour.
It’s the part of the show where she performs up to nine new songs from her The Tortured Poets Department LP rocking a white dress with all-new visuals.
Ever since Taylor lost the rights of her master recordings to Scooter Braun a few years ago, she makes sure she owns everything, and now she can go ahead with a fresh project based on the new staging.
Taylor thanked fans and crew for embracing the new part of the show, writing on social media: “This post is dedicated to the new Tortured Poets section of the Eras Tour (aka Female Rage: The Musical!) and everyone who made these memories so magical.
“To my crew, fellow performers, and band who worked tirelessly in their break to concoct this surprise for you – but mostly for the fans in Paris.”
Besides a film or documentary, fans also expect a bunch of new Female Rage merchandise to drop.
And more new music is also incoming with her pal Gracie Abrams – who supported her on tour – confirming a duet with Taylor called Us will feature on her new LP.
Swift’s upcoming UK Eras tour dates next month are predicted to provide a £997million boost to the UK economy.
Nearly 1.2 million fans will spend an average of £848 on tickets, travel, accommodation and outfits to see the popstar at one of her 15 UK shows.
