Shameful MPs like rats leaving a sinking ship

- Dennis Fitzgerald

❑ Michael GOVE Andrea LEDSOM / others too announce they are not standing as Tory MPs seeing Theresa May’s parting shot in the Commons ‘MPs should not be concerned about them / their careers / their ambitions BUT constituents.’ Like rats leaving a sinking ship. Ashamed to say it for a UK government!

❑ Brian Linford Pontefract michael gove, andrea leadsom & a lot of other tory mps hav seen that tories hav been sunk by sunak. That’s why quitting.

❑ ANGST So MR Starmer has confirmed that a Labour government would seek to lower voting age to 16. The Man has lost the plot, 16 yr olds can’t buy alcohol or cigarettes, but he wants them to vote for a government to run this country, unbelievable. Angry Els.

❑ Co Durham. here we go again the circus back in town, promises the earth delivers nothing and these chumps expect us to believe them! there isn’t a single statesperson I can respect in the whole croc of s**t that is Westminster.

❑ Pomfretian pinfold: remember Johnson lies truss wrecking the country tory sleaze sex scandal out of touch sir take your blue tinted glasses off – nhs education transport all in crisis, record food banks poverty what a damn indictment. big imp

❑ I have to say I feel sorry for the Tories, they have had to wade their way through covid, and brexit, and who would have ever guessed we wanted to leave the EU? My point is this just highlights that you never know how things will swing in voting, and its no different in a general election. You can guarantee if

Labour get in they will start off by saying we are left sorting out over a decades worth of broken promises and destruction the Tories have left us. I honestly believe we need a total fresh start, and give the Lib Dems a chance. Thin Lizzy

❑ I am someone who has little time for either Labour or Tories. Neither of these two have ever been a benefit to our country. History has clearly proven this! Nevertheless, I have to remind Sir Keir Starmer who “what is unforgiveable, is to leave your country in a worse state than you found it”. However, I seem to recall it was outgoing Labour Chief Secretary to the Treasury Liam Byrne who left a note claiming “there is no more money – good luck”. Lest we forget! Jim Sokol

❑ why does Starmer want the hassle of running the country. Only has to stand up weds say “yah boo yah boo, ur talking out ur ar$e”. Get paid a fortune, umpteen freebies everything on expenses then let the rain man deal with the problem.

❑ SUNDANCE 6 weeks of political drivel and false promises to endure by these MPs until the election. I feel like getting in a dinghy and fleeing to france!!

❑ AL water companys are greedy pigs prices going up again like the gas and electric and tories do nothing they do not care like about the state of roads and everthing 14 years of cuts. billy the kid

❑ Does anyone else smell a rat. We are having a general election in July and amazingly, energy prices will fall by 7% but, not until JULY. James Mguinn Stockport

❑ So energy bills will go down in July. Really it’s summer so you don’t need your heating on but wait till November the heating price will be back up. Geoff Newcastle

❑ Most 18 year olds spend their time studying a bit, working so they can buy alcohol, and occasionally being annoying but in general they are good people. They don’t want to spend the weekends doing good deeds in khaki. The army option is even worse as the military won’t want weekend warriors but dedicated people who decide to enlist to serve their country. Don’t embarrass and insult those who have served by forcing youths to wear the green uniforms.
