Very classy Beychevelle, well up to its 4CC status. 2022-2035 Ch Branaire-Ducru 4CC 92 Very good vigour; typical of restrained elegance of this fine 4CC, with more natural richness this year. 2022-2035 Ch Lagrange 3CC 92 Fleshy, spicy fruit of good florality and grip. Shows the continued progress of this highly regarded estate. 2021-2034 Ch Langoa-Barton 3CC 92 Shows the purity and depth of a classic vineyard with nothing exaggerated. Discreet but full of character. 2022-2035 Ch St-Pierre 4CC 92 75% Cabernets Sauvignon and 6% Franc. New cellars have continued the progress of this undervalued estate. 2021-2035 Ch Talbot 4CC 91 Classic, robust and meaty Talbot fruit with slightly gamey spice, but more polish and lift in 2015. Will last well. 2021-2033 Clos du Marquis, Ch Léoville-Las Cases 91 Good middle richness and classic firmness of Las Cases on the finish. A separate wine, not a second label. 2020-2030 La Croix de Beaucaillou, Ch DucruBeaucaillou 2L 91 Polished wine from a separate vineyard with no young vines. Excitingly expressive and will develop very well. 2020-2030 Ch Gloria 90 Fragrant, succulent fruit. Lovely texture, rounded tannins and fresh finish; more finesse than in past years. 2020-2028 Ch Lalande-Borie 90 Fine perfume and fruit purity. Lots of polish and no heavy tannins to get in the way. 2019-2026 Ch Moulin Riche, Ch Léoville-Poyferré 90 Earthy richness and weight; will gain in elegance. Not a second wine but a separate vineyard. 2020-2028 Le Petit Lion de Marquis de Las Cases, Ch Léoville-Las Cases 2L 90 Young Cabernet and old Merlot vines: a racy, elegant wine that’s lighter than Clos du Marquis but still fine. 2019-2028 Sarget de Gruaud-Larose, Ch GruaudLarose 2L 90 High 72% Cabernet: firm, direct fruit and natural richness of grand vin.
