Austere now but a fine future. The team think this is the best Pavillon ever made. 2021-2035 Ch Dauzac 5CC 92 Robustness of 72% Cabernet is tamed by Margaux elegance. Concentration and finesse well above 5CC status. 2021-2035 Ch Durfort-Vivens 2CC 92 Classy Cabernet of beautiful length and balance. White flower nose then lively and fresh, sappy, ripe flavours and a long, lifted finish. 2017 2028 Ch Kirwan 3CC 92 Floral nose then showing all the class and natural old-vine concentration expected from Kirwan. Firmly classic. 2021-2035 Alter Ego de Palmer, Ch Palmer 2L 91 Fine concentration of rich floral fruit from 52% Merlot. More structure to come from perfectly integrated tannins. 2019-2030 Ch Boyd-Cantenac 3CC 91 Good extraction of spicy 81% Cabernet – firm and muscular with very ripe middle fruit and noble tannins. 2023-2040 Ch Desmirail 3CC 91 Cassis Cabernet fruit with Margaux charm and lift. This 3CC is really coming into its classification. 2021-2030 Ch Marquis d’Alesme Becker 3CC 91 Elegant floral fruit and real Cabernet Sauvignon class. This estate continues the good form it reached in 2014. 2020-2032 Ch Marquis de Terme 4CC 91 Lots of depth – chunky now but the class is there as well as grip for the future. A reliably high-quality wine. 2022-2035 Ch Monbrison 91 Fine, floral nose and clear palate, though still tight with lots of character. Stays true to its very good reputation. 2021-2035 Ch Rauzan-Gassies 2CC 91 Deep, lifted cassis fruit showing Margaux elegance. Good depth and future once the tannins have blended in. 2022-2034 Ch Angludet 90 Earthy fruit though a touch leathery, with old vines evident in structure and depth. A serious, masculine Margaux. 2021-2030 Ch Cantenac-Brown 3CC 90 Good depth of fruit and a well-expressed, quite broad Margaux style which gets more classic each year. 2021-2034 Ch Du Tertre 5CC 90 Fine briary fruit that is clear and wellstructured with good density and nice lift on the finish. A classy wine. 2020-2030 Ch Ferrière 3CC 90 Elegance and depth in a straightforward style. Could be more complex but will mature well. 2021-2030 Ch Labégorce CBE 90 Big broad fruit and lots of structure and depth. Chunky; a good future. 2021-2032 Ch Lascombes 2CC 90 Massively extracted ripe fruit – lots of depth but little finesse evident so far, but it will age well. 2021-2035 Ch Pouget 4CC 90 Muscular 79% Cabernet yet also floral with lots of flavour – ‘just what we are looking for’ says the winemaking team. 2021-2035 Ch Siran 90 Almost has the breed of a cru classé with good natural charm, tannins and acidity for the future. 2021-2034 Clos des Quatres Vents 90 Fine, ripe fruit from low-yielding old vines. Good middle palate with finesse and depth; very Margaux. 2019-2028 Ségla, Ch Rauzan-Ségla 2L 90 Fragrant, ripe and smooth with freshness and more density than expected. A fine second wine. 2019-2027
