Catena Zapata to debut on La Place

Bodega Catena Zapata in Argentina has said that flagship wines Nicolás Catena Zapata 2015 and Adrianna Vineyard, Mundus Bacillus Terrae Malbec 2015 will be sold in Europe and Asia through the Place de Bordeaux system.

Catena has signed a deal with 10 Bordeaux merchants, underlining growing interest within the city’s négociant system in non-French producers.

Dr Laura Catena, who manages Catena Zapata, said: ‘ I have long admired the Bordeaux négociants’ commitment to distributing the greatest wines of Bordeaux to collectors all over the world.’

Other non-French wines on the Place include Italy’s Masseto, California’s Opus One and Francis Ford Coppola’s Inglenook, and Chile’s Seña.
