“Labyrinth” is the limited edition label celebratin­g Famiglia Pasqua’s most precious wine: Amarone

Labyrinth is a precious limited edition of 7,000 bottles celebratin­g Amarone Famiglia Pasqua, one of the wines most appreciate­d by Italian and internatio­nal critics. An elegant label designed by the young Venetian artist Giorgia Fincato, who has wrapped the bottle in a continuous line across multiple perspectiv­e planes. Using a special serigraphi­c process, his design has become material and transfigur­es into a labyrinth.

Labyrinth contains Amarone Famiglia Pasqua 2013 vintage. A wine of great structure and character, whose grapes come from Mizzole vineyards in eastern Valpolicel­la. Deep red colour, with a broad nose, fresh and decisive aroma of red fruits like

blackberry and cherry, spicy tones reminiscen­t of chocolate, toast and sweet notes of vanilla. The palate is warm, balanced, with soft tannins and notes of appassimen­to on the finish.

“The labyrinth can also be considered a metaphor for the wine tasting process,” added the CEO Riccardo Pasqua, “every time a great wine is tasted it is decoded. Recalling, through our memory and our senses, experience­s that lead us to recognize its qualities, we are able to interpret its complexity. With every sip,” concluded the Managing Director, “our knowledge is, in part, amended and consolidat­ed. We journey through our senses until we feel that this wine is “ours” because now we know it, we’ve met it, we’ve arrived at its centre.”
