Voucher scheme to boost Covid-hit Cape Town eateries
South African wineries and Cape Town restaurants have launched a gift voucher scheme to boost hospitality trade revenue. A domestic alcohol sales ban, imposed due to Covid-19, was causing ‘irreparable damage’ to restaurants, said Alex Dale, MD of Radford Dale winery and co-founder of the Restaurant Rescue Project alongside Matt Manning, chef-owner of Grub & Vine. ‘ Restaurants and gastronomy are part of the fabric of Cape Town,’ Dale said.
