Les Caves de Pyrene Ventisquero is a group of wineries that aims to display the character of each region through its wines. Tara is one of its premium lines, representing the potential of the cooler areas of the dry Atacama region, like Huasco Valley and Longomilla, to produce elegant and complex Pinot Noirs.

Peter Richards MW Solid ruby hue. Attractive aromas and flavours: delicate floral hints, savoury meaty tones, summer berries and plums. A bit edgy and high toned, with a savoury character that comes out with time in the glass. And so does the interesting, crunchy tomato leaf freshness. With time in the glass, it just gets better and better. Firm, juicy, dense, intriguing. Really impressive.

Alistair Cooper MW Savoury, attractive nose with smoked bacon, iron minerals, dark cherry and spice. Ripe palate with that savoury edge again, fine and firm tannins and a nice lick of salinity towards the finish. Layered, with nice weight of dark cherry fruit. Really opens up in the glass – a truly fascinating expression of Pinot. Dirceu Vianna Junior MW

Delicately scented, boasting notes of dark cherries, ripe plums, wet earth and a hint of dried herbs. Excellent varietal character and beautiful texture – wonderfully harmonious with sophisticated fine tannins and balancing freshness. Needs time in the glass to show off all its nuances.
