Manufacturer could open doors for skilled and unskilled fabricators

A WINDOWS and doors manufacturer has launched a recruitment drive at its Derby factory.

Frame Fast, in Ascot Drive, is looking to fill more than 10 jobs.

As part of its growth strategy, the award-winning company needs to recruit skilled and unskilled fabricators immediately.

Paul Brighouse, founder and director at Frame Fast, said: “The business is growing at such a rapid rate that we need more people to join us.

“There are exciting times ahead and we need a workforce to reflect this.

“You can be skilled, semi-skilled or completely new to the industry. If you’re lacking in training, we’ll provide it.”

Frame Fast is the East Midlands’ largest trade fabricator of aluminium and PVCu doors, windows, conservatories and conservatory roofs, composite doors and roofline.

Since it set up in 1997, the Derby business has continued to grow.

Having built a purpose-built factory in Ascot Drive, Frame Fast produces all its products in-house.

The 30,000 sq ft facility is one of the most technically-advanced in the industry.

The company provides housebuilders, installers, architects and developers with the latest products and advice in a bid to stay ahead of the market. At Frame Fast, the quality control department is equipped with advanced technology that measures the quality, strength and accuracy of every weld and the overall look of each frame, unit or roofline. Mr Brighouse said: “We never stop and this year we’re introducing two new products to support the new-build housing market.

“Frame Fast is not only the leading fabricator of PVCu and aluminium windows and doors, but also renowned for its glass production here in Derby.”

This year, Frame Fast has celebrated its busiest year yet and recently scooped two awards at the East Midlands Chamber Derbyshire Business Awards 2018.

For the second year in a row, the business was crowned Manufacturer of the Year. Frame Fast also picked up the Entrepreneur of the Year award, which was presented to Mr Brighouse.
