Powell to miss Rams meeting
WIGAN Athletic will be without one of their key players when they face Derby County today.
The Rams travel to the DW Stadium on the back of a 2-1 win over Swansea City last week and are only outside of the play-off places on goal difference.
Wigan are currently 15th in the table and come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Bolton Wanderers.
The Latics have one of the best home records in the Championship, earning 21 points from 10 games - only Leeds United and Norwich City can match that.
However, manager Paul Cook will be without key midfielder Nick Powell for the clash against the Rams.
The former Manchester United midfielder joined the Latics in the summer of 2016 and so far this season he has scored four goals and provided five assists in 18 league matches so far.
Cook has confirmed that the 24-year-old has suffered a hamstring injury and will spend a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
