Rams star hits out at burglars

-

CRIMINALS have broken into the home of Derby County player Duane Holmes.

The midfielder shared the news with his thousands of followers on Twitter.

In the tweet he blasted the thieves and sarcastically thanked them for their selfish act.

Mr Holmes wrote: “House burgled couple weeks before Christmas. Cheers.”

His fans were quick to send him messages of support.

Twitter user @Dobbseldred wrote: “That’s a disgrace, Duane. Hope they catch the people who’ve done it.

“What a sad life that they have to go around stealing things.”

And @lurki0h78 said: “That’s awful news. So sorry to hear that, Duane.

“Hope Christmas still goes OK for you and the police are able to do something.”

The player joined Derby County in August for an undisclosed fee – believed to be around £700,000 – on a threeyear contract.

He was born in the United States, but moved to England at a young age.
