It’s time to scrap Universal Credit

THE Universal Credit (UC) system should be halted and then scrapped. It can’t be fixed, it brings misery and is not fit for purpose.

This system is unnecessarily complex and takes us back to divisive Victorian values, with social and economic policies for the “deserving “and “undeserving” poor. Charities are expected to clear up the mess.

We have food banks and clothing
