As it’s Christmas, Meghan’s dad should consider a silent night
ANOTHER week and another salvo from south of the border as Meghan Markle’s father reignited his attacks on his royal relations.
This week Thomas Markle began getting sentimental ahead of Christmas as he shared several handwritten cards his daughter had given him for the holidays over the years.
One card, which is dated as recently as Christmas 2015, reads “Daddy, because you have always been so generous with me and taken the best care of me, it brings me so much joy to be able to give you this at Christmas. I love you to no end.”
The card was signed “Meg,” and £1,500 was reportedly enclosed.
In addition to sharing the letters, he described in detail the ways he has tried to get in touch with his daughter, while making a few digs at Prince Harry’s notorious past antics.
He said he had “pointed out the Royals haven’t always been perfectly behaved. I wrote that I’ve never played pool naked, nor have I dressed up as a Nazi”.
Once again, in what is a seemingly endless number of interviews, Markle chose to ignore his daughter’s wishes for him to stop talking.
The retired lighting director, who lives in Rosarito, Mexico, has repeatedly failed to understand that every wounding outburst makes it harder for the Royal couple to trust him.
Between Christmas songs, Markle would do well to listen to Ronan Keating singing “you say it best when you say nothing at all”.
