Drugs found in raid on home

A SUBSTANTIAL amount of what is believed to be cannabis was discovered during a drugs raid in Woodville.

A warrant was executed in Falcon Way, Woodville, on Tuesday.

Derbyshire Armed Response Unit entered the property, where drugs were recovered and evidence of previous drug-growing equipment found.

Foil pipes were among the items discovered by police.

The results were posted on Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team’s Twitter page.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Constabulary later said: “No arrests were made and a quantity of what is believed to be cannabis has been seized.

“Our inquiries are ongoing.”
