MICELLAR WATERS

-

Elemis Advanced Skincare Smart Cleanse Micellar Water (200ml) £26, elemis.com

★★★★★ FOR those who like to do a double cleanse in the evening, this is a great first step. It’s lightweight and has a pleasant clean and fresh scent. The product is packed with skin-boosting ingredients like apple amino acids, rosehip seed oil, Indian soapnut, chamomile and rose water. It removes make-up and any build-up you have left on your skin after a long day.

La Roche-Posay Micellar Water Ultra Sensitive Skin (200ml) £8, escentual.com

★★★★★

I HAVE used a few micellar waters and this has to be the best.

It had no scent or fragrance yet just lifted make-up off like magical water. Even mascara and heavy eye-liner disappeared with little rubbing. Cannot fault it.

L’Oreal Paris Micellar Water Cleanser Sensitive Skin (400ml) £3.99, Boots

★★★★★

IT IS hard to believe something so clear and which looks like a bottle of water, could remove heavy make-up but this does. Eyes took a bit of work though and a few soaked cotton pads to shift mascara. My only niggle would be my eyes stung a little.

Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance Micellar Water (100ml) £6, escentual.com

★★★★★ THIS did the trick when it came to clearing away foundation and did not irritate my skin, which is a bonus when you have very sensitive skin. However it wasn’t quite up to the job with eye make-up and I felt the need for a double cleanse to feel really fresh and clean.
