GAVIN Brookes, 35, of Queen Elizabeth Way, Kirk Hallam, was handed a 12-month community order, with 80 hours unpaid work, and told to pay £300 costs, an £85 surcharge and was banned from driving for two years for taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving without a valid licence or insurance in Oliver Street, Ilkeston, on June 19.
