Can you tell what is strange about this M1 junction sign?

-

A ROAD sign at the junction of the A610 and the M1 roundabout has been put up with a strange spelling.

The sign, which can be seen at junction 26 near Nuthall, has Nottingham spelt as”Nottinhgam”.

Nottinghamshire’s highways network, Via East Midlands, which is carrying out improvements in the area, has confirmed it is now aware of the mistake.

The group that has been contracted to work on this site has been notified, and is arranging to replace it.

Dave Walker, Broxtowe district manager for Via East Midlands, which manages the highways network on behalf of the county council, said: “The improvements to junction 26 of the A610 are being carried out by the Buckingham Group in relation to conditions as part of the new business park on the A610 near Eastwood.

“The contractor has been made aware of the sign and will be arranging to replace it as quickly as possible.”
