Dynamo hit six to start back in style

LEADERS Melbourne Dynamo returned to Midlands Regional Alliance Premier Division action with a 6-1 win over Mayfield, writes Craig Gibbons.

Jack Bodill and Dave Worger scored two each, with Jack Goodband and Jack Peverley also on target. Josh Critchlow replied for Mayfield.

Little Eaton extended their unbeaten league run to three with a 2-1 victory over bottom club Wirksworth Town Reserves thanks to goals from Phil Adam and Scott Lindsey.

Michael Jefferiss was on target for Town.

Tibshelf were held to a 1-1 draw by Castle Donington.

Lewis Macaskill netted for Tibshelf and Dan Christian for Donington.

In Division One, Holbrook St Michaels Juniors edged out Bargate Rovers 5-4, with goals from Owen Nixon (2), Dan Daley and Billy Barnes.

Jason West (2), Tom Sanders and Ashley Hargreaves replied.

It was the same scoreline as Wirksworth Ivanhoe Reserves got the better of Punjab United with the help of a Shane Burrows hattrick.

Lucas Brough got the other two for Ivanhoe.

South Normanton Colts beat Asha Reserves 2-1 with goals from Sam Pilkington and Max Didcock.

Josh Anderson’s hat-trick fired Willington Reserves to a 6-1 victory over Derby Singh Brothers in the third round of the MRA Challenge Cup.

Derby Athletic went through 4-1 against South Normanton United. Adam Logan, Daniel Stone, Mark O’Leary and Tom Woodward scored, with Nathan Hutchinson replying.

Toby Foxon struck twice in Melbourne Dynamo Reserves’ 2-0 win over Ashbourne Reserves.

Goals from Josh Buchanan, Josh Hallam and Will Pearson saw Castle Donington to a 3-2 victory over Sherwin.

Rowsley 86 Reserves are also through after they beat Moira United 5-1.

Andrew Boyack (2), Aaron Cordin (2) and Ant Porter netted for Rowsley.

Ripley Town missed out on a place in the final of the Derbyshire FA Divisional Cup South as they went down 3-0 defeat away to Mickleover RBL.
