EYESHADOW PALETTES

-

Stila After Hours £48, stila.co.uk

Our verdict: The metallic eyeshadows somehow manage to be both glittery and velvety, in a way we’ve never seen before.

The sparkly colours are gorgeous for holiday nights, especially the super-glam gold and emerald. The mattes have a pretty pay-off too, and they’re smooth and easy to blend.

You have to use a setting spray or eyeshadow primer with this, or the glitter will end up all over your face, but it’s worth it.

Profusion Wanderlust £11, profusioncosmetics.co.uk

Our verdict: Don’t get put off by the brightness – you don’t have to wear them all at once. There are four neutral tones that will blend with one of the vivid hues (they don’t transfer quite so punchy), so you’re only getting a pop of colour.

We particularly love the sea green shade ‘Stormy’ and the shimmery ‘Jade’.

OPV Tropical Dreams Palette £30, beautybay.com

Our verdict: These 18 shades cover everything from dark brown to neon green. At first glance it’s a bit full-on, but actually most of the colours are really flattering and wearable (and very true).

Gorgeous on darker skin tones that can carry off that lime, but the golds and blues are pretty universal.

Nars Ignited Palette £56, narscosmetics.co.uk

Our verdict: This luxe palette had the whole beauty desk going ‘oooh’ when we opened the lid.

It has a gorgeous mix of shimmery powders, as well as one creamy glitter and three matte neutrals.

It’s a splurge, but one you won’t regret. Bonus points for how crease-free these stay throughout the day too.
