Royal appointment at new flats
NEW luxury apartments in Derby city centre have now been put on the market and the Derby Telegraph has been given a guided tour.
The first phase of around 20 apartments are now available to buy at the new Kings Crescent development, in King Street, next to the historic St Helen’s House and opposite the Seven Stars pub.
Its website says that is “the most breathtaking new residential building in Derby for decades”.
The building is four-storeys high and features studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments. Prices start at £125,000. Penthouse suites are being marketed for around £280,000.
The development will also have an underground car park for around 30 vehicles.
The building’s façade is set to transform the view for those heading into Derby city centre.
Architectural inspiration came from the celebrated Georgian crescents that can be seen to this day in Bath and Buxton.
So far, more than half-a-dozen apartments have been sold, as well as one of three penthouses which offer skyline views of the city centre.
