Almost 30 jobs saved at garage firm

-

NEARLY 30 jobs have been saved after administrators were called in and helped to sell a Long Eaton accident repair business.

After administrators were appointed for WG Newman (Garage), it was sold to Pronto Care Midlands, saving all 27 jobs.

Joint administrator Lee Lockwood, of Begbies Traynor, said: “After more than 50 years of trading, it is good news for employees, customers and suppliers that the business will continue to operate as part of a larger group. We wish them well.”

WG Newman (Garage) was established in 1965, providing paint and body repairs. It suffered a loss in turnover and, after a period of marketing, which resulted in various offers, a pre-packaged sale was agreed to Pronto Care Midlands, part of the Lovells Group, which has auto repair sites across the Midlands.
