Scrap unfair fees on migrant workers

-

LAST week the Government announced to scrap the NHS levy of £400, set to increase to £624, (up more than 300% in two years), for all heath workers.

Indian Workers’ Association GB welcomes this. The levy is an additional burden on workers already paying tax. Many health workers earn a minimum wage.

Indian Workers’ Association GB, calls on the Government to show an equal gesture by scrapping the NHS levy to all other immigrants. We also call on them to scrap Home Office fees of up to £3,000 per person: a family of four will need to find £12,000 every time they apply for visa extension or apply for permanent residency permit. The Home Office made £500 million profit in 2018 alone from the misery of the migrant workers.

We call on the Government to make the Supreme Court Ruling in December 2019, making the PR charges from children unlawful, a legal precedent. I urge everyone to join the IWA in its demand to scrap the unfair Home Office fees. Joginder Bains, General Secretary
