Nominate our local heroes of Covid-19

TELL US WHO YOU THINK DESERVES RECOGNITION

- By BEN LYONS ben.lyons@reachplc.com

AS we head towards the end of 2020, we want to celebrate the very best of our local areas and the people across Derbyshire who stepped up when we needed them most.

In this extraordinary year, one huge positive has been the way in which people and communities have responded to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The anxiety and uncertainty of coronavirus has, in many instances, brought out the best in people and brought numerous communities across the county closer together.

We’ve teamed up with Amazon, whose own staff went above and beyond to keep deliveries going through lockdown, to recognise the

Covid Heroes in our communities.

Did your local pub set up a takeaway service and drop dinners to isolating pensioners?

Did your neighbour run round picking up medical supplies and food for others?

Did the corner shop go out of their way to help people in need in your community?

Did your local school become a hub for the whole town?

Perhaps your local councillor went above and beyond to support your town, village or area?

Was there an NHS worker who became your hero in Covid?

We want to hear about the Covid Heroes of your community. All we need you to do is fill in the form online and nominate a person, organisation or group that has made a difference to your life in 2020.

We don’t want to pick a winner – they’re all winners as far as we’re concerned – but we will contact as many of your heroes as possible to shine a spotlight on them in December.

Who do you think deserves recognition in your community? Nominate them today at www.derbytelegraph.co. uk/all-about/covid-heroes
